Sue Gray, plays fiddle with The Hat Band and Small Pizza, calls Vancouver Washington home, is a Reiki Master, and plays in the Portland Megaband, “The largest contra dance band in the world”, (Portland Mega Band), and with Five Euro Tip (eclectic folk, playing for weddings, farmers markets and other occasions).

Syd Newell, also plays lead fiddle with The Hat Band. She is a also a veteran of the Portland Megaband.

Rick Piel, lives in Portland, is retired engineer and plays fiddle and piano. Besides playing keyboard with The Hat Band, he plays in other contra dance bands “Unleashed” and "Small Pizza." Rick sings with a Madrigal group which plays at Renaissance fairs while “beautifully a appropriately costumed.” He also plays for English Country Dances and is an enthusiastic contra and English Country dancer.
